Voters aren't clairvoyants. It's not like the F&Fers told them that they were going to f!ck things up and then said "vote for us". The public looked at FF's record from 1997-2007 and voted on that, not knowing that the world would be hit by an economic crisis. Don't patronise the voters, they're not perfect.
Also, if Fine Gael and Labour were in power instead of FF, the situation could be just as bad, even worse... and the same people who are attacking FF now would be silent.
